not sure that the blow will have any impact on him.

Actually it's more like a little less than 3.5x stronger. As I said on the last page to someone else (or was it you? well it was someone), going off of how Chewys' firmly believes canon Nappa to have been at 8000 PL, that would mean that canon Chiaotzu was 13x weaker when his self-destruct failed. So I think it is very likely this will actually kill Yamcha though it might not be enough to be an instant kill and maybe will give him a chance to have final words before he shuffles off to the after life.

Now something did come to mind and I'm actually curious if Chewys thought about this too. I wonder if Gero might end up getting his hands on the corpses of the bad guys who die in this battle, turn them into Cyborgs while their dead, and use the DBs to revive them under his control. That could be an interesting twist and possibly help Gero's side be strong enough to capture Yamcha later down the line.

The thing is, that according to Toriyama's canon, one can tank a full-blown attack from an enemy, so long as they possess twice the power of said opponent. So even if we go with Yamcha being 3x stronger than the Saibaman, he'd still possess more than enough power to tank the blast. My issue with/ Chewys is with Chewys power scaling, particularly with/ Yamcha & Roshi. Since Roshi stated in a previous chapter that after drinking the divine water, Yamcha was close to the level of Raditz. So much so that he was able to crush the strongest Freeza soldier, who had a pl of 854, with ease. So he had to at least be somewhere above 1,000, probably close to or at 1,200. Which if that's true, then 4,000 is quite a bit low for him given all the training he & Roshi underwent. He should be at minimum, about 6,000 or so, with Roshi being between 4-5,000.

Although now I think the blast radius will the destroy the remanence of the senzu beans . Q: Were those the beans that Grandpa Gohan left at his house or were they new ones from Korin? Dramatic scene, but the Yamcha is 4 times stronger here than in the Canonical History, and he is still in full power after eating a Senzu, this creature does not have 25% of the power that the Yamcha has, I am sure that this blow / Saibamen's suicide tactic will NOT have any impact on him. But unfortunately this will end up destroying all the remaining Senzus that Yamcha and Master Roshi took, this will leave both of them in bad shape, as their strategy was to attack with full force and then recover by eating a Senzu to continue fighting while the others do not arrive.

En fait ça fait très mal de voir ce Yamcha se faire avoir, il est beaucoup plus fort que celui que l'on a connu, il aurait pu être d'une grande aide contre Nappa mais il s'est quand même fait avoir. J'imagine que c'est après ce combat que le docteur gero récupèrera son corps pour en faire le cyborg n°17.

Scène dramatique, mais le Yamcha est 4 fois plus fort ici que dans l'histoire canonique, et il est toujours en pleine puissance après avoir mangé un Senzu, cette créature n'a pas 25% de la puissance du Yamcha, je suis sûr que ce coup / La tactique de suicide de Saibaman n'aura AUCUN impact sur lui. Mais malheureusement, cela finira par détruire tous les Senzus restants que Yamcha et Maître Roshi ont pris, cela les laissera tous les deux en mauvais état, car leur stratégie était d'attaquer de plein fouet puis de récupérer en mangeant un Senzu pour continuer à combattre tandis que les autres n'arrive pas.

Seems like BOOMSTICK and myself are in the minority in believing that Yamcha will be killed by this. Self-destructing is supposed to be a means of killing someone stronger than you and Yamcha is only around 3-3.5x stronger than the Saibamen, so I don't really think he's strong enough to survive this or at least not permanently survive this.
I think he might have a chance to get in some final words after this Saibamen Kamikaze attack.

Nappa survived Chiaotzu in canon, but according to Chewys' belief, Nappa was at 8000PL which is around 13-14x stronger than Chiaotzu which is far greater than 3-3.5x stronger. I have a feeling the power difference needed to survive probably has to be at least 10x difference at this point in the story.

Honestamente ya no puedo esperar a ver el momento en que yamcha se convierta en androide, que orilla al maestro roshi a fusionarse con Krilin y que papel jugará mr Satan en namek (si el spoiler que chewys nos dio esta basado en la historia como la tenía planeada y no hay cambios de última hora o que mejoren la historia para un mejor desarrollo)

A todo esto solo puedo decir chewys infinitas gracias por tu trabajo, se que habías pasado por una situación difícil y ahora con esta situación mundial las cosas se complican bastante pero aún así te das el tiempo para darnos un momento de distracción y olvidarnos de esto que pasa al imaginar posibles escenarios que vendrán en la historia que nos ofreces un fuerte abrazo a distancia desde México

At any rate, the story is unfolding very well, the suicide was cool to see, though Yamcha shouldn’t suffer too many consequences as he just came back at full power. Yet, the senzu may be gone.
