After Zeus had disappeared after having given the custody of the Earth to Athena, considered the wisest and most compassionate of the goddesses, Poseidon envious of Athena's prerogatives set out to conquer the surface. In his underwater kingdom, he gathered many powerful warriors, the marinas, and made them forge combat armor made of orichalcum and called scales. The seven most powerful warriors were appointed generals and led the battles to the surface. The might of Poseidon's armies, amplified by the indestructible scales, easily overcame the fighters in Athena's service. Poseidon then built in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean a powerful fortress named Atlantis, as large of a continent and totally impregnable. From there, his warriors were able to carry out even more deadly raids and nothing seemed to be able to stop the invasion of the god of the oceans. Soon there were only teenagers left to resist, all the adults had perished under the blows of the marinas. In order to give them a chance in the hard battles they had to fight, Athena decided to provide them with armor. She therefore appealed to the alchemists of the continent of Mü, a people very advanced in the field of astronomy and the forge, fervent worshiper of Athena. |
