Dear Mr President,

I don't know how to express my profound surprise and disappointment in receiving a request to report serious, objective, and scientific information on a FICTIONAL character.

Cthulhu is a fictional entity created by the author of science fiction and horror writer, H.P. Lovecraft, whose mythology deals with strange alien beings that inhabited the Earth long before the appearance of men and these beings' present attempt to win the Earth back.

I must admit, however, that there are some "coincidences" which are very curiously linked between the fiction of Lovecraft and the reality that surrounds us.

One such link is the origin of Bloop (1996), which is relatively close to the location of the fictional sunken city of R'lyeh, (part of the mythology of Lovecraft) described in works such as "The Call of Cthulhu" (1926).

Cthulhu

AGE:
Before the beginning of time

LOCATION:
According to mythology, Cthulhu waits dreaming under a seal in the sunken city of R'lyeh (somewhere in the Pacific Ocean).

PRONUNCIATION:
There is no consensus on the pronunciation of the name. Lovecraft transcribed it as "Khlûl'hloo".

APPEARANCE:
A 10 mile high monster, squid- or octopus-headed, with a bloated, corpulent body and the wings of a dragon.

Its scaly body is composed of a gelatinous substance that makes it virtually indestructible.

It has the ability to change its shape, although it is still essentially the same. If its physical body was completely destroyed (which is very unlikely), its extraterrestrial nature would make him reform again in a few hours.

ENTHUSIASTS:
Its primary followers and servants are the Starseed of Cthulhu, small spawn of Cthulhu who were at war with various races in the distant past on planet Earth.

It is also loved by most of the deep sea, half human, amphibious beings supposedly inhabiting the oceans

During the cold war, the USA placed microphones at the bottom of the sea.

These microphones, then located more than 5000 km from each other, detected an extremely powerful animal sound.

(That is, Immortal)

(That the pronunciation of Cthulhu is not specified is also typical of Lovecraft's style)

(higher than a mountain and uglier than a toad)

(I do not believe it could be real, there are some crazy people in this world!)

We don't know if he has finished his transformation just yet.
Besides, they don't know if him being 10km tall is correct, that bit of data could be wrong.

Heck, he could be an Avatar of Cthulhu, and still be Cthulhu.
