It was because mechanical robots seemed to have limitations that I used my knowledge in the field of synthetic cell design: I could completely change the cellular structure of a living being. Reconfiguring it's proteins and other polymeres into super resistant carbon fibers would multiply the strength and natural resistance of the subjects by hundreds of thousands of times, thus becoming synthetic androids.
But the procedure was extremely painful and invaisive. Experimental subject C-10 died quickly after starting the procedure. In universes 3 and 9 I found very powerful humans who survived these first procedures.
A-11: The unusual resistance of this human allowed me to refine the cell modification procedure. Although still imperfect, it's extremely powerful.
Since then I made updates. The loss of natural proteins and their replacement with super resistent carbon polymers led to a general sense of amnesia. I installed a disconection of her nerveus system as a failsave, for my own safety.
A-13 and A-14: After the loss of A-12 due to cell autolysis, the heightend resistance of the subjects allowed them to survive the cell modification procedure without problems.
They were both extremely powerful humans and the artificial cells have increased their own power. I installed electronic trackers on their optic nerves to measure fighting power.
