I just feel bad for not being artistically active on here so I want to interact with you guys in some way. It dawned on me the other day that I'm actually going through another art block. Yet, it sucks because now that school is over, I actually have time to draw but I just can't. I really really want to draw something good, but nothing good comes out. It's already the end of May and I haven't drawn anything decent for such a long time. I barely drew anything new and complete this year ...
I'm kind of unorganized at the moment, which is not good >_< So, if you ordered a pencil commission from me, paid, and have not received it yet, please send me a note so I know who I still have.
I've been meaning to do this meme for a while now, and since I can't draw anything lately, I decided to finally do it!
-- My drawing I used to redraw is this one I drew it back in 2006. At this time, I did not have a tablet (or knew what they were) so it was hand drawn and inked, scanned, and then colored with a mouse on Photoshop. (too bad I don't have the original PSD file anymore But at least I have the original paper lineart lol) But this drawing was kind of a turning point. You know how you draw that one picture that shows you have some sort of potential to be really good? XD This was the one for me.
Now you can see if I have improved after redrawing it. Honestly, it only took an hour to redraw it. If I spent more time and effort, it may be even better lol
One thing I like more about my old drawing is how I captured the mood in the sketchy lineart. However, the new one is a lot cleaner.

I'm just enjoying a convention as an attendee (for once lol and not as an artist) and it's really fun! I don't get the chance to just walk around and enjoy myself with others. I just need some extra cash right now :/ So I'm opening some extremely low-priced pencil sketch commissions: $5 USD for one character $10 USD for 2 characters (fyi these are my commission prices at conventions so you'll never see these prices online lolll)
So, ACen (Anime Central) is the largest anime convention in the midwest area of the USA held in Chicago, IL. It's next weekend too!!
If any of you are planning to go, let me know!!! I am going to be an attendee this year because it will be my first time going to ACen. I will be cosplaying (errr.. crossplaying more like) as Shion from NO.6. lolllll Either him, or Ritsu Onodera from Sekaiichi Hatsukoi. (I haven't decided yet, but it has to be one or the other T__T) lol It will also be my first time cosplaying too so... aahh... I'm worried. I haven't even tried make-up or clothes (or bought the clothes) yet T__T lol!!!
