Random trivia about this page...

Compared to the french version, each character has more defined and characteristic speech patterns (or at least, I try to make them distinctive, but I'm no native speaker, so... :-p). The captain talks in a very serious tone, without contracting and using a large vocabulary, whereas the major is usually more direct and factual. Having these two talk alone during a scene makes the whole dialogue appear almost theatrical, though that was not the aim at first - but I thought it fit, seeing how they're somewhat trying to mock one another, so a little "fakeness" sounded about right :-)

It's actually your comments on the Amilova comic that inspired me to try and find something to say, too, so thanks for that as well.

By the way - I must say, I'd like to try my hand at helping translate a few comics around Amilova, too, but most are already under good hands.. (that, and I'm busy trying to keep the momentum up for Imperfect :-p) but if I'm too slow to spot a comic in need of a translator and you're looking for one (I suppose you keep a close eye on those needing one, but maybe I'm wrong about that ?), please don't hesitate to ask, I'd be glad to help :-)

It's important to speak to your readers because if you don't... thousands of people will pass here on you comic and you'll never receive any feedback... readers are used to be silent and shy .

Your comics are really great, thanks to this additional effort, I hope they'll get the international success they deserve .

If you think that most of the comics are in good hands... then know it's an illusion . French to english translation are still hard to get on a regular basis.

English to french is a bit easier . But complex comics like this have difficulties :

I didn't know the comic you pointed me to (admittedly, I don't know many comics here - I've skimmed a few, but I have to confess I haven't really taken the time to sit down and seriously read one yet, which is why I'm not really commenting anywhere else - only saw that most I came upon seemed translated already) - but I definitely like what I see, and if you think there's a translation need there, I'll be glad to lend a hand, if only to get the ball rolling. There doesn't seem to be a translation option on the page though (I imagine the author is peculiar about his use of specific typography, as I sort of am as well :-p), so perhaps I should contact him directly about it ? Or is it something you'd rather manage ?

Belive me... First of all... just translate those comics you really like... because if not you will abandon them in few time. Secondly. Any artist in amilova will be really grateful for a long time for your service... REally REally. Forget about typography right now... it´s more a matter of future accurate... So... you offer your help.. and then you will recive a rain of requests to help them...

But it´s a nice experience where you can learn a lot too. I will read your comic when you have more pages.

And I hope you'll enjoy what you'll read here at some point - the parution is quite slow, I'll admit, because I'm working on something else at the moment and I'd rather not run out of pages here in the meanwhile :-/
