saint seiya hypermyth is a fanfic recounting a part of the extended universe of saint seiya by master masami kurumada.

In the mythological era Poseidon launched murderous raids on the surface, leaving only women, children, old men and adolescents to defend the earth. Athena entrusted the people of Mû with the making of sacred clothing to protect them in the harsh battles they were going to lead. Athena, who made a truce with Poseidon, accepted that no gold saint would intervene in order to protect the city of Argos, whose king Cepheus was killed by general Marina Kraken searching for the last Muen alchemists. the latter ordered that Daedalus and Argos be delivered to him where he would raze the city. Saintia Phebeus also known as Princess Andromeda of Argos attached herself to a rock in order to withstand the tides sent by the marina so that her cosmos protects the city. but in seven days, the general will come in person to raze the city. Athena therefore sent Perseus to decapitate the gorgon Medusa because it takes a titan for a silver saint to be able to defeat the marina. a group of saints is therefore sent to find the lair of the gorgons. they only have seven days to succeed.
