"I hope you don’t think any less of me for admitting this, but we have some help. Soy is an anaphrodisiac, which demolishes the sex drive. It’s a common winter food in tengu temples. In addition, most of us at the temple grew up together and were so familiar with one another that there wasn’t much room for sudden irresistable attraction.
That said, I’m perfectly capable of controlling myself — soy just makes it… less work. Unfortunately, soy is harvested in the summer, meaning Urameshiya doesn’t have a proper stock of it piled up like the temple did. As long as no one attractive comes through, I’ll be just fine…"
