Your comic is very interesting Pehesse.
BUT I have a question > why did you decide to storyboard with 9 boxes ? It's obviously a deliberate choice.
The classicism of it makes it different. But far less dynamic and expressive than other comics or mangas.
So... whyyyyyyy ?

Thanks for the interest :-D and you've said so yourself - it's far less dynamic. And it's the point ! The story is meant to be slow, and evoke an almost dreary atmosphere.. and I believed that by "imposing" a slow reading rhythm, the general feel of the comic would be different. But the most obvious result is that nobody likes it, so... well, that'll have to change at some point :-p
But to tell the whole truth, at the cost of some spoilers : Ashell is meant to be the first of three parts, each of which would have had its own distinctive narrative and visual style supposed to relate an evolution in atmosphere, rhythm and general hopefulness of the situation. Ashell is the "downer" part - where everything went wrong, and no matter how you try to set it right, it doesn't work. Part 2, "De-Shell", would have been more dynamic and eager... using dynamic construction, and a greyscale. Part 3, "Re-Shell", would be the reconstruction after everything comes crashing down, with color gaining throughout the comic. But it's not a "happy" or a "dynamic" series - also, as a play on the "usual" robot story, with lots of action and fast rhythm. Here, I'd rather have liked each case to be read almost as an illustration, taking time to read the details and hints within, and the general feel to be driven by dialogue with several meanings, and not combat. But it doesn't work, so... :-p

I quite like your graphic style. But you can't please everyone, especially if you decide to make a slow paced, classical layout story, whilst the trend nowadays is all for fast eye-popping action and effects. It depends what is more important to you : attract more readers, or remain faithful to your idea, that's entirely your choice and i won't interfere with it, i'll read you on whatever way

I'm very glad you understand and support this viewpoint. To be honest, part of me still hopes for this to be widely popular, even though I used plenty of immediate turn-offs (thematically, graphically, rhythmically... can't count'em anymore :-p), but I'll admit I can't reach a wide readership at some point :-) To offer the readers that follow this the very best I can make it to be, I'll still probably rework a lot of the early parts - without compromising the integrity, I hope :-)

Well it is an eternal problem, that compromise between popularity and integrity, reminds me of that discussion in the forum about fan service.
